About

Racial & Social Equity Tillamook (RSET) is a grassroots community organization working to improve racial equity and social justice on a local level in Tillamook County, on Oregon's north coast.

We coalesced as a group after months of weekly rallies in support of racial justice in the aftermath of George Floyd's murder-by-cop on May 25, 2020.

RSET plans group actions including rallies and protests, community service, self-educational book club, and discussions to raise awareness and create equitable change.

Who

In light of the long legacy of racism in Tillamook County, RSET provides a collaborative haven for folks who wish to respond visibly and positively to national calls for racial and social equity.

RSET includes long-time community members with contacts and strong roots in the area, which can help to inform actions and effect meaningful change from within. Additionally, other RSET members are new to the area and can provide different perspectives, fresh ideas, and new methods for working in the community. JOIN US!

We are passionate about anti-racist action
